Denver & Boston are roughly the same size media market, but DU gets way better coverage in the Denver Post than #1 ranked Boston College hockey gets in the Boston Globe.
Obviously having 33 other colleges in Boston, plus the Red Sox, Patriots & Celtics being regional if not national powers, is the major factor.
Nonetheless, DU has received great coverage in the Post in the past decade.

OK, media market is larger, so I misspoke. I believe the population is roughly similar.
