How Much Money Could Boone Earn For DU?

There's an article today in Puck Daddy about the University of North Dakota logo.  Supposedly the university earns at least $750,000 from fighting Sioux merchandise annually.

This is not to say that the University of Denver would sell anywhere close to that much merchandise, just that its reasonable to project DU earning six-figures annually from Boone apparel.   The proceeds from Boone merchandise could fund minority scholarships, continuing education for fifth-year athletes or tuition for injured athletes.

Or the money could be used to fund improvements in Magness Arena such as lighting, a new scoreboard or video system.

Different subject: USCHO gave Adam Murray some positives in it's feature article about Mich.

There is never a time at Magness arena when someone doesn't come up to me and ask where they can buy a Boone shirt like I wear. The guy at the DU souvenir stand at the south entrance said he would love to sell Boone "stuff". I am sure the athletic dept would be behind, the problem, of course, are the stuffed shirts in the administration. Heck I would love to setup a stand and sell Boone "stuff", I could retire!!!!

The alumni group that sells the 50/50 tickets could sell them and increase their donation big time but the administration would most likely not allow any sales inside the arena. How about some type of "bootleg" sales that they could do and still donate the proceeds?

If you had actually read the puckdaddy article you would have seen that the sioux head didn't bring in $750,000 of revenue annually. It is the estimated cost of replacing everything at REA with the logo. DU sucks and no one cares about their hockey program. That's why you don't bring in any money. The school doesn't market it or put enough funds towards it. They would rather focus on being Eco friendly or the inclusion of transgenders. They made it irrelevant.
