It was a memorable evening for DU alum Joe Colborne last night. He scored his first NHL goal for the Toronto Maple Leafs, his team won 7-1 over the Tampa Bay Lightening and former DU star Tyler Bozak added two goals for the Maple Leafs.

For an English-speaking Canadian kid, scoring your first NHL goal in a Toronto Maple Leafs uniform is big dream. Way to go, Jumbo Joe.

Watched the game. Sounded like a WCHA game. Bozak...Colborne...Frattin
7 WCHA players in Leafs line-up last night
Joe Colborne 1g
Tyler Bozak 2g, 1a
Matt Frattin 2a
Joey Crabb 1g
Jake Gardiner 2a
Phil Kessel 1a
Jay Rosehill
hahahaha 7 WCHA players and NONE from CC!
Yeah, but they were national champions in 1957, don't forget that!
Joey Crabb played at Colorado College and has done a nice job moving through the AHL to get his opportunity.
Joey is another kid from Anchorage that decided to not go to UAA.
Cue Donald implosion....
The #1 Marlies line thie year until the call-ups to the Leafs was Frattin-Colborne-Crabb. UND-DU-CC
That is an un-holy alliance if I've ever seen one.
Now that Crabb's not wearing a CC uni I enjoy watching him play. Grinder!
