Congrats to Zucker for having this honor. It's so great to have Zucker and Schwartz captains of two top contenders in this tournament. It's amazing that both play college hockey in the WCHA and for teams in Colorado. Major props for college hockey and the state of Colorado.

Addendum: Etem and Zucker played together as 10 year olds. Wonder if their coach knew he would have 2 of his players wearing a letter for Team USA in the WJC? :-)

@ Anon 12:51:

Just as an FYI...Jaden Schwartz is CANADIAN, and, as such, not eligible for the US World Junior team.

Also, he did make the CANADIAN team last year, but was hurt during the tournament.

Just figured you might want to know...

I think the comment at 12:51 is an extremely stale joke, getting less funny with each repetition.

Agreed. I'm pretty sure it's a North Dakota fan trying to make you guys look stupid.

They would have named Nick Shore as Captain ... but he didn't make the team.

JZ scored last night in Team USA's 5-0 final exhibition over Slovakia.

Things get going for real on Dec. 26 vs Denmark. All Team USA and Canada games are live on the NHL Network.
