Saturday is shaping up to be a fun day on campus. Perhaps the biggest day in DU's women's sports history.
The Soccer game against CC at Noon should be an epic event. Dress warmly & bundle up according to the weather forecast.
Then at 4 PM the DU Women's Hoops team takes on the Pac-10's University of Utah. It will be the first game for DU's new coach Kerry Cremeans. I have no doubt that she's going to take the program to new heights.
In between there's time to bust over to Crimson & Gold, Jordan's or any of the neighborhood watering holes.
Top Ten Reasons DU should win… 10. Under-arm hair causes drag 9. K. D. Lang marathon on MTV 8. Birkenstocks slow defensive players 7. Ceramics final 6. Bad batch of kelp from Whole Foods 5. Cleats kill grass! 4. Tie-died T-shirts not approved by CC A.D. 3. Missed bus updating Pinterest 2. Vegan protest against shoe maker 1. Pottery wheel pedals weary CC's legs
DU should be able to give Maryland quite a battle, and while MD is seeded 4th and favored, DU has proven itself to be a top 20-30 program this year and can play with anyone, as proven by the 3-1 road victory at Portland. DU has not been beaten by more than goal this year by anyone, and with victories over Portland, Kansas, Colorado, TCU and St. Louis, DU can play. I expect a close game.

Sounds like a good day to me, though I will only have the endurance to attend the soccer game, esp. with beers in the mix.

It seems that DU students will have yet another excuse for not going to hockey games. "I was going to go to the hockey game but then I got high..."
