recorded five points (2 goals, 3 assists) and was a +2 in the two road
wins.

Mike Chambers of the Denver Post penned an article yesterday stating that the WCHA playoffs are not very important for DU this season. He used 2004 as an example, when DU lost to Colorado College in the first round of the WCHA playoffs and then stormed home to win the National Championship in Boston.

Point of clarification: the men's basketball championship game will air on ESPNU. For all the other games, you gotta pay.
DU Women's Hoops won by 10 points today in the first round of the WAC Tournament in Las Vegas.
They play #2 seed Utah State on Wednesday at 3:30 PM MT.
Around 100 DU fans were in the house, plus the band and cheerleaders who were fantastic. Lots of fun being in Vegas and catching in person.
Anyone else following the Denver to MVC conference story on Mile High Mids?
If it is true that we turned them down (and unless the rumors of a 2-3 mid-major conference merger are true and include both the Summit and the MVC), even if it meant adding Baseball and Softball), then our confidence in DU's decision making regarding conference affiliation would and should be be rather shaken...
DU is telling everyone they are sticking with the Summit League. Here's the likely rationale.
DU joined the Summit League for two reasons.
1). They didn't have to add any sports. This was huge, because there's no telling what baseball & softball would cost to start up and maintain [Perhaps $10 million or more for start-up & property purchase].
2). Easy and inexpensive travel options to Summit League cities.
Now if the MVC can't match those two criteria, its very doubtful that DU will move.
DU spent $800,000 to join the WAC and I'm not sure what [if anything] to join the Summit League. Another conference move would cost more money.
