DU Lax Advances To ECAC Championship Game

Led be a five-point effort from senior Cameron Flint, #3 ranked University of Denver men’s lacrosse team defeated Fairfield University 10-8 in the ECAC semifinals on Thursday evening. The win advances the Pioneers to the Championship game on Saturday at 2 PM MT. against Ohio State. 

The game will be live on Fox Sports Network, ROOT Sports-Rocky Mountain, Fox College Sports and FUEL TV.

Both lax teams have been terrific and are locks for the NCAA tourney.

The men would be more dominant with Jeremy Noble in the lineup (an all-American last year) and had Chase Carraro not gotten hurt. Carraro is playing now, but he's not playing anywhere near 100%. Last year, he had 32 goals - this year 3 or 4. Last year, he was a dominant faceoff man, this year not so much.

The women are very aggressive and physical for a women's team - Henrichs is a beast on caused turnovers and Remenapp is leading the country in assists.
