On the Road Again?

It seems like yesterday when our boys had to travel to Providence's home ice to play the lower ranked Friars in the NCAA playoffs. The rest was history as our boys came home with a loss and Providence moved on to the Frozen Four and an NCAA Championship.

It could be more of the same this upcoming hockey season as Regional playoff venues include: Albany (NY), Worchester (MASS), Cincinnati (OH), and St. Paul (MN).

Should higher ranked programs be rewarded with a home ice playoff or should playoffs continue to be held in neutral, largely empty arenas? With St. Paul as the furthest western venue, should DU, Air Force and Colorado College bid for regional host for 2017 or continue to stockpile frequent flyer miles? The bids are in for 2017 playoff hosts.

Did DU step up? We'll know when sites are awarded in September.
