"There's no way we're going to make any excuses. We have a lineup, the guys we have available, that if we play the way we can, we'll have a good chance. Our primary concern is playing better in our own end. Our team defense has got to improve. That's what we're talking about and working on. Our success is going to hinge on the success we have defensively."
-DU Coach George Gwozdecky

As Frank Serratore pointed out, some DU players are going to have to step up this weekend. The Goal Czar has been quiet for a month or so, it would be nice to see him have a good weekend. Guys like Nick Shore, Doremus and Larraza also need to produce.

Any word when Ryder will be back?

It's the Under 20 Championship for Zucker and Friday on the NHL Network.

I'm not sure why it took so long but I'm glad DG finally decided to take out the garbage. I hope the trolls are gone for good.

We've gotten many, many great comments over the years from Anonymous posters. But obviously some jackasses had to go overboard.

I probably waited too long, but now its done & a new era of "commenting with accountability" begins. :-)

Go DU.

Big day for hockey. Hoping Team USA can rebound and get a W today. And I'm eager to see DU back on home ice tonight to start the 2nd half. The Pios really need to start putting some wins together. Now.

Thanks DG for putting a stop to all of the trash being posted here. You and your staff work too hard to have a bunch of children posting irrelevant "stuff" on the blog.

Anyone get a sense as to whether the basketball attendance numbers are grossly inflated? I have been to one game (Iona), and the attendance may have been somewhat overstated, but not ridiculously so. I see the attendance for last night's game is listed as 6,000, and I'm having a hard time believing that DU drew 6,000 people to see Troy on a Thursday night.

I'm just glad that you also put a stop to the "anon" posts!

The anon posters are gone but trolls still live here. They just have to be accountable from now on.

Oh..ok, Big Boss Man. Thanks for lecturing us on trolls. Coming from you, the king of the trolls, it means a lot.

USCHO Penalty Box for. Wish old pio were still here so we could have a few toasts!

Didn't even use any "expletives deleted" just wanted 20 people to enter College Hockey Weekly's top 10 teams contest so I would win a DU jersey with my great guesses. :-) Think I only had 3 DU teams in the top 10. Didn't want to appear biased :D
