The University of Denver women's golf team leads at five-over par after the second-round of play at the 2012 Sun Belt Conference Women's Golf Championship on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at The Shoals in Muscle Shoals, Ala.
DU sophomore Tonje Daffinrud, junior Kelly Drack, freshman Rachael Watton and senior Anna Christenson all hold places in the top-ten as the Pioneers command a 17-stroke lead over second-place Middle Tennessee. Denver shot a five-over par 293 today and is (288-293-581) five-over par with one round to play on the 6,264-yard, par-72 Fighting Joe Course.
Conditions on the Fighting Joe course were less than favorable for the second consecutive day. Rain continued throughout the second round while the wind picked up later in the round.
