The University of Denver hockey team will host Niagara on Friday @ 7:30 PM before closing out the weekend against Canisius on Saturday @ 7 PM.
The Pioneers named tri-captains for the 2013-14 season on Monday as senior David Makowski along with juniors Josiah Didier and Zac Larraza with each wearing a “C” on their sweaters this season.
Denver associate head coach Steve Miller was named as the first head coach/general manager of the United States Hockey League’s expansion franchise in Madison, Wis. Miller, who will assume his duties in Madison on Jan. 1, 2014 - has been at DU for the past 20 seasons.
The Pioneers are 88-39-2 in nonconference action since 2001-02.

The goals by Loney and Makowski demonstrate why they will playing professionally next year.
