Greetings from New York City

Saw DU78 & 2004 DU Student Senate President Max Goldberg on Friday night in Manhattan. We discussed "All Things DU" as well as the kid who "verbaled" to DU from Alberta and of course the upcoming DU series with UND.

Needless to say, the result on Friday was disappointing and the injury to Brock Trotter is really tragic. We all wish him the speediest of recoveries. I will try and find out more about his condition when I am in Denver this week.

The Saturday victory was a pleasant surprise. A terrific effort by the team and coaches to get things back on track.

I look forward to arriving in Denver this week and to see the upcoming series & Banner Raising Part VII with Michigan Tech.

GO DU

Have you heard if Trotters injury will just mean he will miss this season, or might it be a few.
I watched him in USHL last year and was excited to get to see him a few times on cable this year.

He is out for the season and probably will not even start to skate for 8 months. According to Gwoz this will be a lengthy rehab but should nopt bee career threatening.

A good time was had with dggoddard and Max on Friday night. Lots of laughs and libations.

Obviously its a very serious injury. His achilles tendon was severed and damage to muscles caused by Smaby's skate. He was operated on in North Dakota and may not begin skating for eight months.

I will find out more specifics ater in the week.
