DU Recruit Named To Team Canada-West

DU recruit Joe Colborne was named to Team Canada-West for the 2007 World Junior A Challenge. Colborne (6'4 195 lbs.) has led the Camrose Kodiaks to a 15-1-3 start in the Alberta Junior Hockey League. Colborne leads the league in scoring with 15 goals, 21 assists in just 18 games.

Colborne will face fellow DU recruit John Lee who will play for Team USA in the Tournament. This will be the first time that Team USA has played in this tournament.

DU freshman Kyle Ostrow won a gold medal for Team Canada West at this event last year.

The 2007 World Junior A Challenge will include teams from Belarus, Germany, Russia, the United States and two teams from Canada (East and West). The tournament will take place from Nov. 5-11 in Trail and Nelson, British Columbia, Canada.
