College Hockey News Covers WCHA Apology

College Hockey News has details of the apology letter sent by the WCHA to St. Cloud State after Jesse Martin's goal last weekend. Props to CHN for also linking Martin's YouTube Video.

"The Western Collegiate Hockey Association, after a further review of the situation, has acknowledged to St. Cloud State University that an error was made on interpretation of a goal that occurred in a game against the University of Denver on Dec. 7 at the National Hockey Center.

"According to NCAA rules, a goal was improperly allowed after a video replay review and should not have counted.

"In acknowledging the error, however, rules do not permit any change in the outcome of a game."

And in the spirit of the Holiday Season we thought that LetsGoDU should also write an apology letter to St. Cloud State coach Bob Motzko as well.

Dear Coach Motzko,

LetsGoDU is extremely sorry Denver swept your team last weekend. We should not have let Rhett Rakhshani "go postal" on your young defensemen in the 3rd Period on Saturday night. We apologize for Mr. Rakhshani's three goals and wish you the best of luck in the remainder of the season.

Sincerely

The Denver Boone
