The LetsGoDU Video Production Team was up half the night putting together this video for your enjoyment. Its 9 1/2 minutes long but completely captures the last six minutes of the game with all replays.
To set the scene, Rhett Rakhshani scored three goals in a five-minute span of the third period Saturday as the University of Denver hockey team rallied to beat St. Cloud State 3-2.
When St. Cloud State went on the power play with six minutes left, it looked like the Huskies would avenge a 3-2 loss to DU in Friday's series opener. But Rakhshani scored 11 seconds into the penalty. He flicked a wrist shot from the right circle into the upper left corner past goalie Jase Weslosky.
Three minutes and 24 seconds later, Rakhshani cut behind the net and banked a shot off Weslosky and into the crease, where Huskies forward Garrett Roe inadvertently knocked the puck over the goal line. And about two minutes after later, Rakhshani one-timed a shot from between the circles past Weslosky, who finished with 39 saves.
