Masterton Annivesary Covered By Media Outlets

(above) Bill Masterton tallied 80 points in 32 games in the 1960-61 season and led DU to a 12-2 victory in the National Championship game over St. Lawrence. In 1997, Masterton was one of 21 players named to the NCAA’s 50th anniversary team

There was a fair bit of coverage on the 40th anniversary of Bill Masterton's passing yesterday. The Minneapolis Star-Tribune re-ran the Dallas Morning News article that we posted. The Duluth News Tribune did likewise.

This information on Masterton is great. Like a previous blogger mentioned, I didn't know much about him at all, except his name. 80 points in 32 games is incredible. The account of his death is quite chilling.
