Anyone else surprised that Paukovich is toiling in the ECHL? i thought he'd catch on with the Oilers' AHL team for sure this year.
I guess Chris Paradise is no longer playing hockey. Do you have any information on what he is doing now?
Its a big jump from the ECHL to the AHL. Good to see he has 9 goals and 13 assists, but can't say I'm surprised by the 77 penalty minutes.
From Trotter's small amount of playing time he may be down in the ECHL soon or next season as well.
Best of luck to all the guys as they chase their dream.
fantomas,
We're researching it now. He might still be playing and it slipped past us.
Perhaps in the offseason we'll try and compile a list of what many of the former players are doing post hockey.
DU is also working on a massive 60 year reunion in 2009. Stay posted for details.
According to Hockey's Database.com Chris Paradise been out of hockey since 2005. Not sure what he's doing now, but we'll post anything we hear.
He' still in touch with the DU hockey program so someone will know something.

My guess is Pauko needs to work on his skating and puck skills a bit before he goes any higher. He's got the frame and power to make something happen at the next level, but I think his offensive skills could probably use improvement. He's one of the most explosive hitters I've seen in college hockey and should be able to at least play in the AHL. I'm actually surprised he only has 77 minutes in PIMs. Thought he'd be well over 100 at this point.
And why is Handza suspended?
I looked up Handza earlier...seems he failed to report to Bakersfield after being traded from Wheeling. The blog I saw indicated he has to serve a 45-day suspension, if memory serves me correctly. This happened back in mid-December, 12/13 i think, but there wasn't any mention of his current status.
