Once again I will not be paying to watch webcasts of DU hockey. I'll just turn on the radio. Why can't we watch DU play for free??? Pretty ridiculous.
With the Avalanche & Nuggets deal with 1510 AM, DU Hockey's chances of being on the radio this season are unknown at this time.

DU would attract a significantly larger audience if the webcast were free. They know this, but have chosen to go the pay route.
Needless to say I'm not in favor of charging for the webcasts, because I believe that they would get so much more exposure if it was free.
I totally agree with DG as to favoring free webcasts . Selling an ad or two in there might make sense if they need the revenue .
The exposure around the country
( really around the world ) would be a favorable thing to be sure .
Let's GROW DU .......
While I would love it if the webcasts were free keep in mind that you are getting all sports for the fee just not hockey. A yearly subscription lasts a full 365 days.
What about audio webcasts? My connection won't support video.
In the past the audio was available along with the video on the DU website on a subscription basis. But if the radio situation is in limbo, who knows?
I agree Lets GROW DU. :-)
I'll be watching the first half of the season online. One of the drawbacks to study abroad in Australia- hockey deprivation.
