Ohio State Upsets DU 4-3

(above) It wasn't all bad news for DU fans on Saturday night. Clarkson tied Colorado College the second time in two nights
"They [Ohio State] outplayed us. They beat us to pucks and caused turnovers that we couldn't handle. I think this makes us hungrier, because we know we have to improve and get better. Come Monday, I think our guys are going to be focused, ready to move on, and make a statement next weekend."
- DU Captain J.P. Testwuide
Ohio State fought back from a 3-1 deficit to upset DU 4-3 tonight at Magness Arena. Ohio State's Peter Boyd broke a 3-3 tie with 2:13 remaining in the third period to give Ohio State the victory.

Disappointing loss tonight as DU coughed up a 3-1 lead at home. I am happy with a 4-1-0 start to the season but DU gave this game away. Props to OSU for never giving up. It seemd like Ruegs line was snakebitten all weekend. No goals from the big vets this weekend yet they played hard. If they had popped a few this would have been a sweep.

DU has got to be smarter with the puck. They handed over the winning goal to OSU on a silver platter...

OSU had DU on it's heels most of the game. Ruegs and his line never gave up, he hit that darn post in the last minute of play. Agreed, DU has to make smater passes as opposed to just dumping the puck

Give OSU some credit, they played pretty well on Fri, learned from their mistakes and came out more determined on Sat. The Pioneers are certainly more skilled and no-one has an answer for Bozak's speed, wow is he fast and smart. Their goalie Heeter made the saves and OSU capitalized on their chances. Great job by very young Buckeyes!!

Ohio State definitely deserves credit. I don't think they are top ten team but certainly are no slouch either. They played an opportunistic style, capitalized on some DU mistakes and earned a split. I'm sure they went home happy.

I saw only Friday's game, but DU's primary problem this weekend appeared to be carelessness with the puck. Too many untimely giveaways that killed momentum and gave the Buckeyes life. I think the effort was there, just not the execution.

Glad to see Chevy play well and Colborne get his first goal.

Anyone know the status of Vossberg? Is he in the doghouse or just a victim of numbers? I thought he was a decent 4th line player last year.

Vossberg played on Saturday for Dewhurst.

I expect a number of guys will get a fourth line shot.

I still think Glasser is too good for the fourth line and deserves more ice time.
