With Ostrow getting his knee hurt this year, perhaps they will defer him to 2010, opening another spot for a player like Knowlton or maybe Morin.

Anything is possible, but I think Ostrow will be here in 2009. The one wildcard is the "Salazar situation."

IMO Morrin is only a 20-25% chance of coming to DU.

DU has 18 scholarships to divvy up. Obviously we have no idea who gets partials or how much. Plus I believe there's a new rule that guys who are exceptional students can receive academic scholarships.

DU has four guys that could leave early. Bozak, Colborne, Rakhshani & Ruegsegger. They have three players that are graduating Mullen, Marcuzzi & Testwuide.

Pretty complicated for us outsiders to decipher. Obviously Wisconsin got caught with their pants down last summer playing the "numbers game." Thats how Wiercioch ended up at DU.

Is is possible that Wiercioch could leave early?

Good point. Wiercioch should be on the list as well.

As was mentioned before, don't get your hopes on Morin guys, hes from NY and BU has brought him in multiple times. Sorry for being pesimistic, but there's always an outside chance. Also, I really dont see Rhett and Reugs leaving early. Bozak and Colborne could be possibilities though.

is it safe to assume Bozak is a near certainty to leave? seems like his stock is rising every week

People forget that Bozak is already 22 years old, although a sophomore at DU - he was a late bloomer that needed more time in Juniors.

Bozak will be gone after this year to the NHL - count on it. He could probably play there right now as a third line player.

Both Ruegsegger and Rhakshani are certainly quality players, but both players don't seem to be improving very much right now, which leads me to believe both will stick around for senior seasons. I don't think Toronto or New York is in much of a panic to sign either one.

Wiercioch and Colborne are huge talents, but as 18 year oolds, both need some more time to fill out physically if they are to be effective pros. My guess is that DU will get both for one more year after this one, but you never really know how much the NHL team might want to sign high draft picks like them.
