Rocky Mountain News Calls Air Force "Top Gun"

The Air Force hockey team gets a shot at its Front Range rivals once every season.

In years past, the annual matchups usually meant two lopsided losses for the Falcons. Now, though, it's AFA that routinely is giving its opponents healthy drubbings, and it's Colorado College and the University of Denver that have reasons to be wary of the state showdown.

Air Force, the only unbeaten and untied team in the nation and the top-scoring club in college hockey, hosts Colorado College on Friday and visits DU's Magness Arena on Saturday for the most anticipated edition ever of the annual rivalry. [read rest of article]
