Intent on resting goaltender Sir Pulled-Alot (Richard Bachman) and experimenting with different line combinations, #10 Colorado College can't let history repeat itself this weekend when it plays Sacred Heart at World Arena.
Losing to Sacred Heart (4-9-2) wouldn't preclude CC (10-6-4, 7-5-2 WCHA) from making the NCAA Tournament, as the WCHA Final Five champion receives an automatic berth.
It would make a rocky road - CC is tied for third in the WCHA, three points behind first-place Denver, and in nonconference, it swept Alabama-Huntsville, tied Clarkson twice, lost to No. 12 Air Force and beat Colgate - even trickier to navigate. (read rest of article)

So CC started their downhill slide early.
I wonder how Chevy's stats comparte to Bachman.

Thanks for the stat. I thought Chevy might be equal to Bachman. Not taking away from Bachman, but there is really Chevy's "rookie year". No reason to think he won't continue to improve as time goes on.
Sacred Heart sweeps.
CC is coming off a huge victory against the Gophers. I expect them to take care of business against Sacred Heart.
The WCHA race will be very interesting in the 2nd half. If Chevy continues his stellar play and the Pios stay healthy I think DU is the team to beat. If Bachman has a less than superb 2nd half I see CC slipping to the middle of the pack. They just don't seem to have enough offensive depth.
