For all fans, these games are in the eastern time zone not central. That means 5:05 PM starts in Denver both nights.
DU needs 4 points this weekend. Tech is at the bottom of the league and DU needs to make up for the poor showing at St. Cloud.
Agreed.
DU only has to look at the standings to realize they're in 5th place in the WCHA.
Also, by getting the team up to Houghton a day early on Wed. sends a clear message that DU is taking this seriously.
On the other hand, this is a team that came out flat against the #1 team in the country at home (Minnesota).
On paper DU should win two, but this is the WCHA, and if Tech plays a solid defensive game, it may come down to a lucky bounce or two.
We are going to see what this team is made of. No excuse not to win both games.
I'm expecting a good weekend from DU, 3-4 points. Hopefully a lesson was learned after the St. Cloud trip and the poor outing in game 1 vs. the Gophers. These are the types of games good teams have to win--playing a last place team on the road who is struggling. St. Cloud was in a similar predicament a few weeks ago, so DU should know what they're facing.
4 games to go before the holiday break. I'll be very surprised/disappointed if the Pios don't come out firing and put forth a strong effort.
Great photo poster!
