How are they going to carry three goaltenders...what's the story on our defense?

Not sure about the goaltenders. Maybe Guinn will be the practice squad, maybe not.

DU will be deep on defense. Nutini & Ryder will almost certainly rotate each weekend.

Phillips is going be a wild card. He should be drafted in the mid-to-late rounds by an NHL team this summer. He will only turn 18 in July so he's really young. But he's a scholarship player so will get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to playing time early in the season.

It looks like if everyone stays healthy and plays up to their potential it should be a great season

Any news about Weircioch, is it 100% certain he is going to return

No news on Wiercioch.

The Ottawa Senators hold the all cards, but the general consensus is that he's still a year away from being an NHL player.

In all my season ticket years I have never seen so much fire power . They should roll all four lines until maybe the later part of third period if losing.
I would put Jackson on the fourth line. He's a big kid who improved all last year.
Book Detroit!

Rak, Rugs & Shore together? May God have mercy on the poor soul in net on the receiving end of those 3stick blades. Gwoz better play it safe with the CIA and register that line as a weapon of mass destruction.

Vossberg ought to be on the top PK line instead of Colborne...Voss works harder and is much more hardnosed than Big Joe.

I agree about Vossberg, though I think Joe got a little more aggressive as the season went on. If he is going to make it in the NHL, he is going to have to step up his physical game.

There doesn't seem to be any apparent weaknesses in this team. Is it October yet?

Colborne can handle the stick well and is great positionally on offense, but he just doesn't want to get down and dirty yet...that's where Vossberg comes in. Big hitter, not afraid to really press the opponent on a power play...that's the kind of lock down that DU needs.

In limited playing time Vossberg was 4th on the team in plus/minus @ +10.

I expect Gifford, Vossberg & Jackson will provide some muscle on the 1st three lines when things get rough in WCHA play.

It's going to be great when all the players from the previous teams attend the reunion in October and get to watch this team in action. They will be thrilled to see such a load.

This looks good but I expect to see Jackson and Nutini on opening day. And I don't know about the PP's. I don't see Shore and Colborne being on #1 together. I think Shore would be on #2 and Miani would be on #1.

Another opening night question - who will manage these boys' hockey equipment? Big Lee went to the Goofers!

Why are they taking so long announcing their schedule?
