Good luck, JC! Do the Mavs have anyone out due to injury right now?

A couple according to "Western College Hockey Blog."

Minnesota State's Brett Peterson got into his first career game on Saturday after two years on the sidelines and promptly got injured in the second period.

Meanwhile, senior Geoff Irwin will miss the Denver series after taking a pretty devastating check from behind on Saturday, which is a minor miracle considering the hit he took.

Wisconsin suspended Freshman Craig Smith for an additional game for the hit on Irwin.

I for one am really looking forward to this series with the Purple Bulls. No drama; no bullshit; no distractions.... no media onslaught or meaningless rivalry jargon.... just 2 good WCHA D-1 teams lining up for 2 nights of ice hockey. Put all the tradition and ratings hooplah-crap aside....Don't think this will be an easy weekend for either school. Nevertheless I humbly say, GO PIONEERS

That's good news the Joe Colborne finger is okay.

If it was his middle finger he could show it off like Hakstol did two years ago :)

Now I'm wondering if we should start him for Team Cougar WCHA Fantasy Hockey.
