This decade, the Gold Pan series has been as much about national rankings and league standings as about the traveling trophy itself. It seems Colorado College and the University of Denver take three bragging-rights agendas into each of the four annual games.

The number that continues to boggle my mind is 1 victory vs CC in the last 12 games. Hard to believe that CC has owned this series so decisively in the last few years. That has to change.
