Tonight's world junior championship gold-medal game between the United States and Canada will likely draw more interest from hockey fans than will games on the NHL schedule. And for two Canadian-born Colorado residents, the underdog should be considered the favorite.
"I'm rooting for the U.S. team, and I think the U.S. team is going to win," said University of Denver coach George Gwozdecky, a native of Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Former Pioneers star and Avalanche center Paul Stastny, who was born in Quebec, is confident enough to bet against the powerful Canadians (read rest of article).
