Chambers Has Injury & Goaltending Update

Our Johnny on-the-spot Denver Post beat writer has up to the minute info gleaned at DU hockey practice today. There's three DU injury updates and the news is not good. Additionally DU is considering starting Adam Murray in goal on Friday night. Not a surprise but the decision is not official one way or the other yet.

This is a great chance for some of the benchwarmers to get some ice time and make a contribtution in a meaningful game.

Murray needs a confidence boost. Salazar needs a goal.
Dewhurst needs some more shifts, as does Shawn Ostrow.

Like to see all four lines get some goals this weekend.

Dewhurst was robbed last weekend. Not sure if the handpass call on Vossberg was warranted, but to score a huge goal against UND and have it waved off on the replay was tragic.

Part of me says good - let those guys play; but the other part says, don't think this is a chicken shit game and we can relax because we've already won......

Steve Miller in the Weekly Press Conference over at www.DenverPioneers.com said they hammered home the message to the Captains to be ready for tough games this weekend.

Question is, do the players listen to the Captains or read LetsGoDU and realize this weekend is the Cupcake Festival? :-)

Wrenn's injury sounds a bit troubling. Martin and Gifford should be fine with some rest it appears.

Get healthy boys.

Hope Salazar breaks out on the SOMba/Smurf line.
And Dewhurst gets that goal back.

D.G. I'm not going for the cup cakes. I prefer twinkies and R.C. cola.

Murray in goal?? Yikes.....I'm nervous....although I guess he has nowhere to go but up.

Murray needs to cover the "bird turd" logo on his goalie mask and he'll be fine. Cheverie obviously "forgot" to tell Murray that the Red-Tailed Hawk is bad luck.

Throw a Boone sticker on there and he'll rocking.

I've heard of teams choking on cupcakes......
