Friday's DU game against either UMD or UND will be shown in Denver on Tape Delay at 10:30 PM in Fox Sports Rocky Mountain.
If you get FS - North or Fox Sports (central, atlantic, pacific) you can watch it live.
Most sports bars that have DirecTV should be able to get FS-North. I'm sure someone will comment with bars in the DU area that will have the game on.
All 5 games in the tourney are live on FSN North and Fox College Sports (FCS) Central.
I just sent Gwoz an email thanking him for the efforts this year of both the team and his staff. To have 19 players honored for the scholatic achievements speaks volumes about the program. It is the little things, like not moving during the playing of the National Anthem, that define this team and this program.
Go Pios!!!
So who's the better matchup for us on Friday....Bulldogs or Sioux?
Great question. Tough to answer.
Gonna be tough no matter who we play. Beating a team(Sue)5 times in a row is difficult.
Not moving during the Anthem, has been a Pio trademark since at least the 70's. Just sayin.....
Murray Armstrong is the one who instituted the anthem tradition. From what I understand it was from the beginning once he was hired, so it would go back to the '50s.
The reasoning from what I understand was that Murray knew he had basically only Canadians; He just wanted to make sure that they showed proper respect to the country where the school was located which was giving them a good and proper (and free for a lot of them) education.
How great would it be to beat UND 5times in one season....
READ MY FRIGGIN LIPS: RIGHT NOW, DENVER IS A BETTER TEAM THAN NORTH DAKOTA. PERIOD. We can beat them all day long if we keep our heads in the game and play as a team. If we play Dakota, my only concern is penalties; because Hackstol cannot/will not control his team. If they get behind on the scoreboard, they will start breaking rules, which could impact how the game turns out. They'll come at DU with revenge on the brain - DU will come at them with winning on the brain
FSN-Rocky Mountain juggled their schedule to air the DU UND/UMD Semi-Final on Friday night Live. Great news for DU fans.
I just talked to shirtlessguy and he is trying to get to Motown!
Thats just the spark this team needs to win the National Championship. Get him there. Do whatever it takes. :-)
