Chambers Looks At Gwozdecky Contract Mess

Mike Chambers of the Denver Post theorizes that Penn State's fledgling hockey program may try and make a splash by signing DU coach George Gwozdecky. Gwozdecky has four years remaining on the 12-year contract he signed in 2002. With an $88 million donation in hand and Penn State looking to raise another $20 million, having a big name coach would seem like the way to go (read entire article).

Penn State is looking to get a new coach signed fairly soon.

That's no surprise. Gwoz will go anywhere where he is the center of attention.

he's at DU = he has to be a stupid douche!

I don't mind the guy being the center of attention - especially since he took us to 9 NCAA tourneys and brought home 4 WCHA Championships and 2 National Championships

It's a good thing that all the championship banners at Magness muffle the sound of the DU haters... Otherwise one might be able to pick up a hint of jealousy in their voices.

Well they better include a pair of stilts with their contract. He's just a lil' guy.

Dear Mr./Ms. Stupid Douche,
Not only are your words unfounded, but they are also uncivil and insensitive. It makes me wonder what your dear mother taught you in the little time that she spent with you between tricks. I have of course inferred that your father taught you little, owing to the fact that you probably never met him. However, even after taking all of these excuses into consideration, I still find your words irreconcilable, which is why I wish a thousand plagues onto and your dysfunctional family.

Sincerely,
Anonymous

Yeah, M. Chambers is spot on = all this does is put George in a heck of a good spot, no matter what happens.

The program is headed for the shitter anyway. Best send Gwoz on his way and start with a clean slate.

Enjoy your world class skiing program....:)

Nice post, you dummy. Say - I can tell you're a Hockey expert...Where were you on NHL Draft Day? Walking the floor, tipping off the GM's & Scouts that Denver is a craphole and not to touch thier recruits with a 10 foot pole?? How'd that work out for you?
