I'm assuming the coaches are anticipating Donovan leaving after this year, given the number of d-men in next year's class?

You'd have to guess that Donovan leaving is pretty much a given at this point.

Regis Jesuit HS pretty much has the stranglehold on the Denver HS hockey scene, from what I've seen. I've attended a couple of thier games and they pretty much dominate. There's 3 or 4 kids in thier program who could be in the same shoes, by moving to AAA

Interesting that the top players from Colorado seem to be every bit as good or better than their Minnesota high school counterparts (Ruegsegger, Shore boys, Nutini).

Just some updates on DU recruits.

Dakata Mermis the younger brother of DU player Jarrod Mermis is with the USND-Under 17 team this season.

I believe Tyler Pham is back in town playing for the Colorado Thuderbirds Under-18 team. He spent least year in Illinois and some were surprised he didn't make the USND-Under 17 team.

Two players that DU may have offered scholies to or are interested in are Quentin Shore and Seth Jones. Both players have older siblings on the DU team.

I'm just going on second-hand heresay so correct me if I'm wrong, but Justin Jones may not be academically eligible this quarter.

Not sure if this has already been posted but here's the link the the entire edition this month:

There's a great article (page 88-94)about DU getting more blue chip recruits and NHLers. Killer Miller points to Matt Carle agreeing to come to Denver as the moment that everything changed for DU.

There's also a Colorado hockey preview on pages 64-81 that goes into NHL, college and the Eagles and has some quotes from Gwoz and Stickney.

Another DU recruit update.

Daniel Dorimus scored his first USHL goal for Sioux Falls last weekend. I'll post a blurb about it tomorrow.
