I anticipate we'll see a better, more inspired, and more fundamentally sound DU team tonight. Everyone knows what the Falcons bring to the table. Should be a good battle.
Seriously? Maybe when good teams come out here such as last year when BC made the trip. Not this year. Should be an easy piece of hardware for DU given the lack of talent in contention.
As far as toughest trophy to win in college hockey, I'm gonna have to go with the Beanpot. BU and BC are competitive every year, Harvard will occasionally come out of nowhere, and Northeastern can spoil it for the better teams.
Despite juggling the dates - This tourney, albeit competitive and perhaps "hard to win", and quite respectful... unfortunately still plays 2nd fiddle to the likes of Great Lakes Invintational at Joe Louis Arena and such. Location, Location, Location. The eastern stigma still haunts the WCHA. Just wait a few years until Penn State is in the holiday mix.....
lol. Anon 12:13 is not a DU poster. He's a smart-ass troll from CC or UND (most likely) that has way too much time on his hands.
He was being sacarastic and trying to insult DU with his "hardest trophy" and "party on 16th street" comments.
So...to whomever was responding to him with attempted rational discourse...don't waste your time. No DU fan thinks this holiday tournament is one of the toughest in the country. Not even close.

AFA 2 Clarkson 1 Final
DU 6 LSSU 3 Final - Drew Shore with a hat trick.
Just like Gwoz said post-game.... sloppy, lackluster and poor performance. Johnny Lee looked pretty dang good though
This is probably the hardest trophy in all of college hockey to win. Should be a big party on 16th street tonight

Whatever this trophy is much tougher Harvard, Northeastern Yea they are tough. The arena was rockin tonight.. Look at the tradition of the cup.
