Hey y'all. I'm a DU and college hockey transplant fan from South Texas and the Central Hockey League. Why don't they do this or "Chuck-A-Puck" at DU games, for a worthy cause??? TV time constraints??? Fans love this crap
Too bad you weren't around in the old arena where chickens and octopus were tossed from the stands when a bad call was made.
I'd love to see the octopi and chickens return...
Octopi and chickens are taken. We need an original toss. My vote is for a fake (no way i handle a real one) skunk for when the ref makes a real lousey call. Other nominations??
Suckerfish?? For when CC hits the ice...
I'd love to see it happen, but I also would rather not get thrown out. They get mad when you touch the glass.
Holy crap! You do realize you're talking about WCHA Refs making bad calls, right? And you want someone to throw a skunk when a bad call is made?? #1 - you'd never be able to find that many dead skunks. #2 - the building would evacuate, because there'd be like 10 skunks thrown per game!!!
They have a net to keep students from throwing debris on the ice. Okay it’s really to keep students from getting hit by pucks but it’s damn difficult to get your hat on the ice after a hat trick or to toss a chicken if a player backs down from a fight. Oh that’s right, college boys aren’t allowed to drop their gloves these days either.
That's another thing. I vote for halfshields and NHL fighting rules in the NCAA game. Most of these guys have all played Junior hockey where both are allowed and encouraged.
