(above) DU Head Coach George Gwozdecky
Gwozdecky Radio Show (Nov. 30, 2010)
DU's mid-week Press Conference highlighted the upcoming series with #1 ranked Minnesota-Duluth. In the Press Conference Coach Gwozdecky compared the Bulldogs to Boston College. He also mentioned how much energy will be in the building this weekend as UMD plays their final home games in the Duluth Entertainment & Convention Complex.
It was also interesting to hear the coach talk about DU defenseman David Makowski. Efficient puck moving defensemen are the rarest and most valuable commodities in college hockey.

If you believe in mid-week body language, DU is sitting on a big series.

Interesting comments about Nate Dewhurst's move to the center position.
Coach also mentioned in his evening radio show that Jesse Martin returned to Edmonton this week to continue his rehab. He's expected back in the Winter Quarter and they envision him becoming a student assistant coach much like David Carle. Certainly great to hear.
Gwozdecky was also on the radio in Duluth with Bruce Ciske for 22 minutes. Coach is turning into a regular Chatty Cathy.
Important series this weekend. I sure would be happy with a split. Duluth seems to be the top dog in the WCHA right now.
