Now 29th Most Viewed Video on Tosh.0 Website
Leave comments and rate David Makowski's goal on the Tosh.0 website. Getting this video on Comedy Central's Tosh.0 television show is just they type of national publicity we need to make Magness Arena the "go-to" venue for Denver sports.
Perhaps they could fly Michigan Tech's goaltender Kevin Genoe in for a Web Redemption.

pairreIt's a featured article on MSN's home page. The exposure will be in the millions. It says "might be the longest goal ever" among other comments.
skip pairrelts, thats the word verification entry
Also has Mak's photo on the home page. Great exposure for D.U. hockey!!
Thanks for the heads up. I linked it and captured the photo of the MSN website in the article below.
DU really needs to break out the tape measure and get an exact measurement. It will bring another wave of publicity.
Wow! Did all 4,000 fans in attendance get a good look?
The nice thing was that Mak didn't make a big deal celebrating. He realized that it was a fluke and had the class not to make a big deal about it. CC would hang a banner in the rafters!!!
Hang a banner? Heck yes!!! We would probably even start a special thread on USCHO.
DU set a single game Magness attendance record on Saturday with 6,146 fans.
Check that it was the 12th largest crowd ever at Magness. Top attendance at Magness was 6,199 on 11/26/04 against BU. Last Saturday's game was a sellout.
I'd say more DU "Fake" attendance numbers. Tons of empty seats seen in the student section, end zones and throughout arena.
Whoever is taking the Hoops attendance is now counting the hockey turnstiles.
Saturday night wasn't a game where any "fake" attendance numbers jumped out at me. There were certainly some empty seats in spots, but the arena looked full overall.
i was shocked at how full the arena was for a mich tech game. there were definitely some empty seats, but it looked comparable to the last cc game to me. seriously, the place was pretty damn full
Gwoz mentioned the great attendance for the game in his post game interview and sent a shout out to the ticket office and media department for all their hard work and getting the word out.
DU historically has a very late arriving crowd, so when you evaulate attendence, you get the the best picture in the late second or early third period.
One way to guess the tickets sold is to look at the very top row on each end. If they are full or nearly full, you probably have what will be a "full house"
Saturday crowds tend to be a little larger than Friday crowds.
I stand corrected. The Friday night crowd looked very light on TV.
My mistake.
Makowski's goal was featured on ESPN's Around The Horn today.
This doesn't change the fact that DU lost to Tech on Friday night. Someone should send a clip of the scoreboard (as the third period winds down) to Tosh.0. That is more hilarious than the long goal. ROFL
