Perhaps it's only fair that the top two teams in contention for the Western Collegiate Hockey Association regular-season title will be without their captains for most, if not all, of the stretch run. Denver will be without Kyle Ostrow and North Dakota will be minus Chay Genoway [read entire article].

Maybe Billy-boy Wrenn can serve the suspension as well. At least Makowski is out for a game against tech...

I know this is way off the subject of the Ostrow injury, but it looks as if the Leafs and Bruins are working on a trade that would send Tomas Kaberle to Boston. And in return it looks as if the Leafs covet a series of draft picks, former CC defenceman Mark Stuart, and Joe Colborne. Colborne and Bozak playing together would be sweet. I'd def become a Leafs fan!

Just wish the Leafs had given Reugs a shot too. Imagine that Bozak, Colborne, and Reugs.....

Bad year to be a Captain in the WCHA. Supposedly, Tech Captain Brett Olson, will miss this weekend with a lower body injury.

Colborne to the Maple Leafs would be interesting.

Actually might be good for NoDak. Genoway was on the ice for all ten goals against when they played UNO a couple of weeks ago. He looked like a spectator at times.

I'd be surprised if Burke likes Colborne's game. Joe is not "truculent" enough for Leafs.

And the leafs have CC's Joey Crabb (game winner last night) so can you really be a Leafs fan?
