DU's Hockey Alumni Raffle Was Huge Success

The DU Hockey Alumni Association's 50-50 Raffle sold $2,000 worth of tickets on Saturday night at Magness Arena. That is the maximum amount of tickets they are allowed to sell in one night under Colorado law. One lucky fan won $1,000.

The DUHAA would like to thank everyone who participated on Saturday night. The student section was rocking with their White-Out T-Shirts, the band was great, Magness was as loud as its ever been with a sold-out raucous crowd and Jesse Martin stole the show with another great speech.

The DU Hockey Alumni Association will use the proceeds of the Raffles to assist the DU Hockey Program.

This is a great money raising source.

The Hockey Alumni figure they can raise around $25,000 per year.

They'll use the money to donate training equipment for the team, bring more former players back to campus and raise awareness of the program and its traditions.

We'll keep you posted on the money raised and what its used for. But its great to see the hockey alumni working on these projects.
