Testwuides' Website Recounts DU-CC Rivalry

(above) The Testwuide Brothers Website captures the passion of the DU-CC rivalry
The Testwuide Brothers Website gives a firsthand account of one of college hockey's most bitter rivalries.  The fans loathe one another, the teams don't like one another and in one case a family could have been split in two.
"Accepting an athletic scholarship to Colorado College was like ordering crème Brule after a steak dinner, an absolute no-brainer for Mile Testwuide. Not only did this decision capture a childhood dream, it created an epic dilemma for all members of the Testwuide family."
"The decision came while JP was halfway through his freshman year at the University of Denver. From his perspective, Mike had gone to the dark side, he had committed to the rival. At the time, Mike was aware that a rivalry existed but was completely naïve to the magnitude of hatred that existed between the two teams. For the next three years JP and Mike battled against each other in one of college hockey’s greatest rivalries."

DU did want Mike, but couldn't offer a full ride at the time and he may not have come anyhow. CC could and he chose them, then proceeded to become a "Pio Killer". I totally love their parents -- good people...

Awesome site, great layout & extremely well written.

I've linked it in the LetsGoDU sidebar so you can find it in the future.

Very cool site. JP was a great Pioneer, and Mike was indeed a Pio Killer. I remember a penalty shot he had against Chevy one year. Beautiful goal, made Chevy look hopeless.

Both those guys were great young men, and it was great! This is why I want the 3rd Shore kid to go to CC. I hope the Tigers recruit the hell out of him!!! That would be so much fun for them and the fans.
