Garrett Allen is no longer on the Dubuque roster. Anyone have any clue what is going on with him? I was excited to watch him make a comeback after a tough season last year.

After my first post I looked around a bit and found this: Speaking of offense, the Fighting Saints took a chance on former Force/Steel forward Garrett Allen but on Sunday, a source confirmed that Allen was released by the team. Allen suffered some injuries last season and was going to use this season to rehab until Montgomery and his staff invited him to camp. The plan was to get him into shape and see if he can return to the form of his rookie year. Now, it remains to be seen what will happen with Allen.

No idea on Allen. I checked every USHL roster on Friday checking out DU recruits and he was no where to be found.

I guess he could be in the NAHL or BCHL, but whatever the case one of the most unusual recruiting sagas continues to surprise.

But of course they won't be on your bad boy list will they Lamien

Why would Allen be on the bad boy list? He hasn;t had any trouble with the law or behavior.

All he's done is not measure up to his early talent projections as he's grown older. Some players don't always pan out as you hope they will. Every program has some busts, especically when you start accepting commitments from younger players. If Allen can't be an effective player in the USHL, he likely won't be able to help DU on the ice at the NCAA level.

I think the comment was about Tabrum & Knowlton being suspended by Gwozdecky. Doubtful that either player was arrested, so highly unlikely they will appear on the Bad Boyz List.

It's Gwoz's annual early suspension for violating team rules and we'll never find out what happened. It's becoming as much of a tradition as the orange/lemon.

I'm sure Maiani is glad to pass the torch along...

Knowlton is the son of the RPI athletic director, and Tabrum is the son of the director of USA Hockey's Coaching Education Program and a former WCHA assistant coach.

In short, whatever Tabrum and Knowlton they did to break team rules, both players should have known better...
