According to Chambers Twitter account: DU's Beau Bennett, who had wrist surgery in Dec., is skating with the boys, using just one hand. Still couple weeks out.

Bennett skated with the team in warm-ups on Saturday night.

Sounds like Zucker only received bruising and is probably a little tender.

Might be a good idea for JZ to leave the on ice yapping to Nate Dewhurst until he heals completely.

What is the story with Murray? I was a little surprised to see that Hope was the #3 goalie this weekend. Was Murray sick/hurt or has reality sunk in that there is no chance that he will see the ice again this year. Is this the first sign that he will be playing somewhere else next year?

Murray was in Alaska attending a funeral. Like we've said before, he can't transfer to another NCAA school without sitting out a year.

I suppose he could transfer to a D3 school and play next year as I don't think you have to sit if you do that. However, I doubt anything like that (transferring to D3) would happen.

Correct. Murray (or anyone else, really) could transfer to a DIII school and not have to sit out a year.

Regardless, it will be interesting to see what happens. DU's goalie situation next year could be....sticky....

It was interesting watching Bennett warm up Saturday. Instead of shooting the puck, he kicked it with his skate. Regardless, it was great seeing him out there.

At the risk of repeating what has already been posted, Rau is a punk and he apparently has a habit of hits like he laid on JayZ. I doubt either Lucia or WCHA would consider suspending him for a couple of games.

If he is going to play like that, he ought to think about becoming a Sioux.

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who thought "oh no, not again," when JZ went down. IMO, it's only a matter of luck and his toughness that he wasn't more seriously injured.

There are still a few delusional Gopher fans who defend Rau's actions. But, as they say on "Law and Order," intent follows the bullet. And when you line somebody up from your blue line and check him into the glass, with hands up, at the red line, after the puck is long gone, what you intended to do is obvious.

There were two instances where contact on the ice resulted in a player having to leave the game. And by an extraordinary co-incidence, JZ was that player both times. Were they trying to hurt him? I doubt it. Were they trying to knock him off his game? I think it's obvious. That's why it's a huge irony that despire the goonery, he scored the GWG on Friday.

I will spare you yet another recitation of my dislike for Minnesota. There are very few of us geezers left who remember the boycott. However, trust me when I say the Pios gave this old man a lot to cheer about this weekend. And the fact tht JZ is more or less okay after that world class cheap shot is icing on the cake.

Let's go DU.

Don't worry Old Pio in a little over a year DU won't see Minnesota in a regular NC game except for the occasional NCAA game.

Yes. And the same is true of UAA, although we're NEVER going to meet them in an NC$$ game. LOL.

At least no gopher fans have accused Zucker of "faking" an injury. And, yes, it is highly doubtful we will EVER have to meet up with uaa in the NCAA's...

"IMO, it's only a matter of luck and his toughness that he wasn't more seriously injured."

Are you saying Jesse Martin wasn't tough? Or he wasn't lucky? That's why he got hurt? Or Robbie Bina?

You're a piece of work old p.
