The #3 seed Denver Pioneers will play in the Sun Belt Conference basketball tournament this weekend without junior guard Chase Hallam, a starter in all 90 games of his college career since his freshman season in 2009-10.
The 6-foot-5 Hallam is sidelined for the rest of the season with a back injury. He accompanied the Pioneers to Hot Springs, Ark., where they play #6 seed South Alabama in the quarterfinals Sunday at 7:45 p.m. mountain.
He missed DU's final regular-season game Sunday against North Texas and an MRI revealed a fractured disc in his upper back [read entire article].

Middle Tenn just fell...Good news

The big news is Middle Tennessee (#1 seed) got knocked out by #9 seed Ark. State.
