UAA in the basement, once again. Man, that program is weak.

DU students are going to be on Spring break Let's hope it's not a Wisconsin Crowd at Magnus.

Now is a good time to ask, after another great year, when is Gwoz's contract going to get extended? The closer we get to the end of his contract, the greater chance another team is going to go after him. He is, at minimum, a top three coach and maybe the best there is.

If Omaha can advance against St. Cloud that will really help DU although us playing St. Cloud in St. Paul
providing we beat them. They have the toughest SOS of all of the WCHA teams. Either way DU needs to win and hopefully either they win the conference tournament or all of the favorites win.

Your wondering if it's going to be a Wisconsin crowd!?! You know it will be. Whether or not your students are in session doesn't make a difference.

Good point! I had a lake home in northern Wisconsin. I couldn't wait to get rid of it. There are probably a ton of people that have moved out of the dump-of-a-state to Colorado.

Madison makes Boulder look sane...

What time are the games, and will they be on TV?

Who cares if it's a Wisconsin crowd? It's DU ice, and DU is red hot. UW is just a speed bump in the road to Tampa. DU sweeps. This series ends Saturday night about 10:00pm, with a DU trip to the Final Five a sure bet. I'll admit, Badger's fans aren't mentally retarded like the Sioux fans are.... so I say... welcome; come to Denver... bring ALL your money!!

The Badger hockey team is going to need you!!!

Actually the quarter for DU students doesn't end until March 15th (there's classes on Monday March 12th and then finals start on that Tuesday) and spring break starts March 19th, so here's hoping that they'll be a few more students there than last year!

Northern Michigan blew game 3 in epic fashion. They lost by 3 and managed to rack up 17 penalty minutes in the last 75 seconds so we probably don't need to worry about them in the PWR.

Congrats to Regis Jesuit who won the Colorado State High School Hockey Championship Saturday at Magness Arena.

It was the third title in five seasons for the Raiders, who also won it all in 2008 and 2009 and finished state runner-up last season.

timt, the best coach? Jerry York is hands down the best D1 coach. Thats the truth, tough pill to swallow, but true.

Signed,

A Sioux fan.

Agreed - Jerry York is a great coach and probably #1. Gwoz took over a program in shambles and has done a remarkable job against bigger programs and schools.

Well, the program Gwoz inherited from Serratore wasn't in nearly as much shambles as the program Serratore inherited from Backstrom. DU was one game from the Frozen 4 in Gwozdecky's first season, using a team entirely (aside from Mike Dairon) put together by Serratore; Gwoz basically walked into a cake situation. It took Gwoz years to start getting the quality recruits Serratore was getting when he got fired.

Glad to hear the students will be in town. I think these could be tough games and DU can't afford to take a night off.

TV or not TV, that is the question.

I think the games being on TV will be stretch since it is championship week for college hoops which, obviously, has a much, much bigger following
