The DU Hockey Twitter Account just announced that Freshman goaltender Jussi Olkinuora will start in goal tonight for the Pioneers against the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
Jussi deserves the start - he played very well against North Dakota on Saturday...with the obvious exception of the goal off the face off.
Speaking of Olkinuora...
I am routinely struck by how calm he is back there. He rarely panics and doesn't seem easily rattled. Additionally, his economy of motion is impressive and helps keep him in position to make second and third saves off of rebounds. He needs to work on keeping himself square to the shooters and I'd like to see him get better at handling the puck.
All in all, though, Jussi has been a very pleasant surprise this year...

Just doing my job ;-)
Corrected. My Finnish is surprisingly weak.
I thought you were fluent in it as well as 75 other languages ;-)
In related news & also via Twitter, the equipment arrived.
Seems logical to me, as he's been playing better than Sam lately. Go Jussi, get the win. Then..go Sam on Saturday.
Jussi's played better than Sam as of late, go with the hot goalie at the moment, we'll see what happens next weekend
