Jack Jablonski Continues To Rehab Spinal Injury

(above) Jack and his mom celebrate no halo, no neck brace & no collar

Jack Jablonski was involved in a hockey accident on December 30th, 2011 in a JV high school hockey game in Minnesota, in which he suffered a paralyzing Spinal Cord Injury. Jack's injury was similar and yet even more debilitating than Jesse Martin's spinal fracture suffered against North Dakota over a year ago.

Check out the Jack Jablonski Website to read his story or make a donation.  Let's also join together to make ice hockey a safer sport.  Less checking around the boards, tougher penalties for dangerous play, stricter enforcement of the rules and if necessary new rules to protect players at all levels.

Our thoughts are with Jesse & Jack at all times.

I would encourage everyone to follow Jabby's journey. He is truly a remarkable young man. He has been an inspiration to me!

Keep him and his family in your prayers.

Oh, I get it... this is just a way for you to whine about Malone's hit on Jesse again. Nice that you didn't even put Jack's name in the tagline.

Anon 11:05, you are a petty, small minded, sycophantic excuse for a human being.

If you do not see the parallels between Jablonski and Martin, that is only due to willful ignorance on your part.

I'd feel sorry for you, but you are choosing stupidity...and for that, I feel no sympathy.

11.05- what would make you go there?put that shit aside, let's all hope and pray for this kid. That's all that matters.

The whole point of this is that any hits like this, need to be better prevented to avoid any more horrific injuries. The NHL has started reviewing their policy of contact to the head and made strides in punishing and preventing it. The NHL and NCAA should work together on this issue and continue to make rules to prevent this and urge companies to create better equipment for player safety.

Ferris is in the Final. won 3-1

Wow. Ferris State is playing for the National Championship. How cool for those young men and for Ferris State as a whole!

They will be massive underdogs against whomever they play...but, then again, so was Duluth last year....

Boy. Where did FSU come from? Seems like they should be a 3rd place Denver Cup invitee or something. But now, I think they're the team to beat. This is good news about Jack's recovery, too. Another off topic... did you hear North Dakota Asst Coach Eades is in contention for... I think I heard ....the Mankato Bench Boss job??? Love his hitler mustache..... and he was a friggin goon himself when he was playing college..... that will be interesting to follow in the coming weeks

Eades wipes his ass with the DU assts.

Eades is a loser. He should be coaching Dunlop's team.

DU's primary assistant Steve Miller has won 2 NCs with Denver in 04 and 05, while Eades last won an NC on the UND staff in 1987, over 25 years ago.

Miller wipes his ass with Eades.

Nothing else matters.

You better like Miller, when Gwoz is gone.

UND will wipe their ass with DU next season.

I just love how you guys go back to your titles in 2004 and 2005. They are getting further and further away. UND wins three titles before DU wins another. Unless your BC I don't want to hear it.

11:02, the same goes for UND. Unless you are BC, I don't want to hear it.

Without question, they have clearly established themselves as the premier hockey program in the country. Their success rate in the tournament is sickening.

UND hasn't won an NCAA title since 2000.

Don't be lecturing us on fading titles...

Well, this thread sure got derailed - and I'll be guilty too, I guess. Does anyone know if Jesse Martin has skated or played any stick & puck? Last I heard he was wanting to get back on a night league team. I really, really hope that one day we'll have MOM back in Magness. I don't think that's too far fetched either.. maybe for the DU Hockey 70th Reunion?? The 3 stooges Miani, Kyle Ostrow, and Martin all together again. I really hope so, someday
