LetsGoDU Marks 3rd Year Covering DU Hockey
Today begins our third season covering DU Hockey. On September 27, 2005 we started LetsGoDU publishing a report on School Spirit at DU and a link to Tom Douglis' article about the History of DU Hockey from 1953-2004.

In the past three years we've amassed almost 1,000 articles on DU Hockey and had over 113,000 visitors who have found us via search engines, links or word of mouth.

Last week Mike Chambers of the Denver Post kicked off his new blog which will cover DU, CC & Air Force hockey this season (if you haven't seen it yet, check it out). His blog looks like its off to a great start and we look forward to linking up with his coverage. Thanks also go out to Pat Rooney of the Rocky Mountain News who has also done a great job covering the Pioneers over the past few seasons.

Terrific writers such as D.J. Powers of Hockey's Future and Chuck Mindenhall of Denver Sports Guide have contributed story ideas and articles to LetsGoDU. We've swapped blogs with Donald over at UAA Fan Blog and of course we've mercilessly teased the Colorado College faithful. Through it all we've profiled our student athletes through thick and thin.

Thanks to everyone who has contributed articles, links, photos, story ideas, posted comments or alerted us to information that you thought would be interesting to our readers. LetsGoDU continues to grow because of interest and input from college hockey fans. Thanks especially to du78 for filling in, contributing articles and calling me each week to "talk hockey."

LetsGoDU has regularly republished articles from DU's student newspaper, The Clarion, and hopefully used this forum to connect DU students, alumni and fans. I believe that the students' campaign last Fall to reinstate the Denver Boone as DU's official mascot is one such manifestation of this relationship.

As a DU alum, its been fun updating this site and keeping connected to the hockey program. We strive to provide fast reliable information, while maintaining our mission of covering DU Hockey from A to Z in a lighthearted manner. As one wise curmudgeon is fond of saying, "LetsGoDU - It is what it is."

This should be another exciting year of Pioneer hockey culminating with the Frozen Four in Denver. LetsGoDU will be there every step of the way covering the Pioneers, important events at the University of Denver and all the festivities surrounding the Frozen Four.

GO DU
