Mike Chambers Blog and The Denver Post reported Tuesday afternoon that the University of Denver hockey team will wait at least another day before revealing if leading scorer Brock Trotter will remain on the team.
"Trotter missed last weekend’s series at Minnesota State for undisclosed reasons and did not practice Monday. Before Tuesday’s practice, Pioneers coach George Gwozdecky said Trotter would not participate.
Trotter, a redshirt sophomore, leads the team with 13 goals, 18 assists and 31 points. He has 76 points in 69 career games."

obviously Gwoz is a quality guy... he doesn't want to release information that would put Brock on the BadBoyz qualifiers list.

It would be sad if Gwoz allowed CC to exceed DU in showing players the door. He's got a bit of ground to make up by my cyphering.
Get busy George but don't forget that even if you boot Trotter you will still have some work to do in order to catch up.
Any rumors to report? Up here in Alaska the juice flows a little too slow. Keep it coming!
any news at all on trotter? hope hes ok and his family or did he get in trouble? too bad
Check out the U of Denver home page. Click on directory at the top of the page. You can search for any student or staff at DU. Enter Trotter's name. No record of him as a student. Enter any other DU hockey player and you'll find their information. That should about confirm it......
... Actually, he's still in the search engine. Just looked for him.
Oh, second comment - there's also this on the directory - Note: This directory lists "active" e-mail and telephone accounts. It is not intended to verify employment or student status. Although most employees with campus offices are listed in the faculty/staff telephone directory, many employees such as adjunct professors and part-time staff members are not. Normally, e-mail accounts for former students and employees remain active for 200 days after they leave the University of Denver.
So yeah. He still exists, but it doesn't necessarily mean anything.
is it suspension? or family issues? best of luck to brock either way unless he becomes part of a off the ice sheer..hahahah
Gotta be academic-related. Probably didn't keep up the grades.
yeah, they are a bunch of tards at du anyway
yeah and your a typical gopher fan that cant say anything relative to the game of hockey cause your own team sucks ass. And while we are on the subject how about mike carmen. Think before you speak tard. ha ha
I heard the scoop on the Trotter situation. Not good. He is off the team, confirmed.
I don't want to go into detail as to what he did/what happened, as it is not my place to do so.
But, I will say that if the full details ever come out, he will for sure be on the top of the BadBoyz list. :(
one point five--
Where'd you get "the scoop???" Until an official announcement is made I would be careful about confirming anything. Dragging Trotter's name through the mud doesn't accomplish anything.
I heard a rumor from campus that it is a legal issue. sounds like a woman accused him of something (hint, hint). Sounds like a line was crossed, but it may be a false claim by the woman. i feel sorry for brock if this is the case, but it is just a rumor
The rumors, innuendo, etc are all BS. Any "source" at the university, provided they are credible, is not going to speak about the situation to anyone in the general public. There are likely administrative issues, and at the very least privacy issues, that need to be addressed.
I find it very difficult to believe anyone on this blog has "confirmation" of anything.
I'm only curious to the extent of the sanction... is this a team sanction or a school sanction. It sounds the former. Whatever the case, it's between brock, the school and the team. If it's kicked off the team, kicked out of school, suspended indefinitely/length of time. That's the only fact that matters at this time. conjecture and innuendo doesn't help here.
Well, I do want to dig the 'fair and balanced' treatment of this compared to similar incidents, but I won't. Hopefully this is a learning experience for all....

Doesn't really matter "why" unless you are one of these tabloid junkies who has to have their daily fix. Bottom line is if he is gone it is going to have a big impact on the program but not one that cannot be overcome. As strange as it may sound perhaps this is the kick in the pants that they need - he is gone and is not coming back so it is up to the remaining teammates to get things done. Seems like everyone has been looking for the other guy to take up the slack the past few games and no one has. Time for this team to go out and play the way that it is capable of playing.
