DU junior defenseman Cody Brookwell has been reinstated to the team and is eligible to play in this weekend's homecoming series against the Buckeyes. The reason for his three-game suspension was not disclosed.
"I just had two long meetings with all people involved, and we have just decided that Cody has been reinstated," Gwozdecky said Monday before practice.
The 6-foot-4, 215-pound Brookwell is one of DU's top shutdown defensemen. He likely will replace freshman John Lee or sophomore John Ryder. Former walk-on Chris Nutini, a sophomore, has become a key penalty killer, and senior Patrick Mullen, freshman Patrick Wiercioch and senior J.P. Testwuide are locked into the lineup.

This is good news. Cody should help tighten the defense and clear the crease in front of Chevy.
Who sits though when he's back? I think Lee and Ryder have played well, and Chris Nutini just seems to get better and better.
My guess is that Lee & Ryder will split the weekend series. Who knows...
