DU emailed out its official schedule yesterday.
The October 17th game against Ohio State may be played in Nationwide Arena home of the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Looks like DU will take an extended XMAS Break to allow Colborne & Wiercioch to try out for Team Canada at the WJC Hockey Tournament.
DU opens at home against Vermont, a Frozen Four partipant last season.
The Pioneer Hockey Select-A-Seat event will be held at Magness Arena on Friday, June 26th (10 am-5 pm). Season tickets start as low as $176 an offer many benefits including discounted prices versus walk-up, flexible season ticket plans, seat exchange programs, discounted parking options, and more.

All in a row Wisconsin, North Dakota and Minnesota on the road.
Looks like the Final 5 and the NCAA regionals come early in 2010. Think there could be any MacNaughton implications for the Pioneers in this swing through the Upper Midwest.
Nice to see that we get four games with DU. I am sure that games will be interesting.
It will be very tough for DU to win the the MacNaughton with this schedule.
Last season, DU's schedule was a cakewalk compared to next season.
The long break at XMAS might should allow guys with injuries a chance to heal up.

For the 1st time since 2005 it looks as though DU's depth is solid. The last couple of seasons this team appears to have run out of gas in the 2nd half of the season and then floundered. On paper, at least, this group looks stellar.
That said, this schedule is a bear. The Pios had better buckle their chinstraps.
why does it look like there are few series for the students to attend?
I agree with other alums that scheduling the first CC home game during Winter Break is criminal. The game has been stolen from our students.
The North Dakota series is during or right before finals. We'll have to work hard to get students to attend that series.
You are right, there are just six full series for the students plus individual games against Mercyhurst & Colorado College.
DU played 35 regular season games last year and have 36 this season.
DU had all seven non-conference games at home last year. This season DU will have eight non-conference games, five will be at Magness.
The WCHA schedule is set by the league, so DU doesn't have a lot of control of where or when they play. They can make requests such as to play at home during finals, but the decision is up to the league.
With less series to promote to students, may be we can concentrate our efforts and get great turnouts.
Looks like another schedule where the Pioneers will flame-out in the end....nothing new.
I'm excited that the Pioneers will be coming to Columbus. Only regret is that I'll probably be in Durham watching Miami/UNH. Maybe I'll go see Goon in Grand Forks after all. :)
