North Dakota & Duluth Kick Off Final Five Tonight

The University of North Dakota are slated to take on Minnesota Duluth tonight at 7 PM (6 PM MST) at the Xcel Energy Center.

The Western Collegiate Hockey Association has suspended North Dakota forward Matt Frattin for tonight's game. Frattin, who was arrested twice earlier this season (disorderly conduct, fleeing from police & DUI), was suspended after he knocked out Minnesota's Kevin Wehrs with a blow to the head.

The Thursday game can be seen live on Fox Sports-Rocky Mountain in Colorado and around the country. The winner will face WCHA champion University of Denver on Friday night in the semifinals.

Boy oh boy, this season keeps getting better and better. Day after St. Pattys Day, an excuse to drink green beer on a Thursday night... and watch a team wearing green get defeated.... AGAIN. Hell, I think I'll even cook me up a Red Baron Pizza too! Bye Bye, Mr. Lamareaux !

May we Pioneer fans all hope for an 11-overtime game between UMD and UND... :)

My sentiments exactly Swami, we want the winner of this game to be exhausted.

Big day on tap for the DU team as the WCHA Awards will be presented this afternoon. DU should pick up lots of hardware.

no 11 overtime game please. The last thing I need is that game to run to 4 in the morning. No, UND will take care of business and then spank Denver tomorrow. :-)

Is Teeney going to play this weekend for Denver?

Also the 10 Hobey Finalists will be announced today.

I love how brash the Sioux fans are. Brandon, did you watch any of the regular season games? Did you see the Pios "spank" your beloved Green Monsters? The swept BOTH series. UND had better hope that they beat DU tomorrow night (if they get past the defending WCHA Champion Bulldogs tonight) in order to get a high seed in the NCAAs. DU is set; they are not worried about winning the Broadmoor Trophy (although, why not? They are already bringing in all the hardware anyways). Ultimately, I hope that UND somehow, someway finds their way back to the finals in Detroit, so DU can "spank" them in the title game, just like they did in 2005.

Brandon is die-hard Sioux fan and a bit of a d-bag but he still knows full well what happened in the regular season.

The Sioux are playing great right now. He knows this and knows that they can knock off anyone in the country. However, he also knows deep down inside that DU is an overall better team and if they play to their potential, DU will win.

They have a very tough game against the Dogs tonight so we should wait until tomorrow to start the s* talking

My Cousin Vince is busy sand bagging in Fargo, ND. He told me he got drunk last night and took a shit in the Red River. I said "that's gross Dude."

Vince replied "don't worry, it's going were it belongs...Grand Forks."

I love the class of the du fans. Led by their number one tool, dg.

Hey Anon come out of the closet pal and give us your name. Hmmm, do I smell a Sioux fan?

The class of the DU fans? Huh? This is a DU fan blog. It’s the brainchild of DG. You are going to post on here that we have no class and that DG is a tool? It's obvious that you are a UND fan and /or a complete moron. No, it's blatantly obvious. Leaving that comment proves that you, sir, have no class and that you, indeed, are the tool. Go Pios!

Does anyone know of any live streams of the games online somewhere? I'm not in Denver and can't find anyplace in town where they have FSN Rocky Mountain or FSN North.
