Chambers Blog Answers Ohio State Rumors

The Ohio State University had been conducting a head coaching search for the past several weeks for its ice hockey program. One of the more startling rumors that came to light today was that George Gwozdecky was interviewing for the job.

any chance OSU was talking to Gwoz about Miller? We've been very lucky to have Steve as long as we have and it's only a matter of time until he gets a head coaching offer. Or, maybe he already has and turned offers down? Not sure about the history there.

Steve isn't looking to go anywhere.
He likes his entire situation here.

Gwoz has previously turned down Michigan State and Wisconsin when they had openings. Why would he go to OSU???? I think Chambers has it right, Gwoz was approached to find out about other coaches that OSU should consider.

I think if he ever leavse DU it would be for the very big bucks in the NHL, nothing DU or any other college could match.

DU better get off its ass & sign Gwozdecky. Ohio State and its $120 million dollar Athletic Department could have blown DU out of the water with an offer.

DU needs to lock Gwoz up until his retirement age with this last contract.

As we saw this week with the Ryan Walters situation it takes two minutes for recruits to decomit and these elite recruits are coming to DU to play for Gwoz.

He can't wrangle the college prima-donnas; I don't see him in the NHL at all if he can't do that.

Don't get me wrong though - DU needs to sign him.

Interesting that 1 comment on Chambers Blog said that he was on campus and interviewed. Given the poor NCAA performance the last three years it wouldn't be bad timing for someone looking to move up the pay scale.
